Abstract
Although spectrofluorimetry is a very sensitive analytical technique, its use is limited by the non linear relationship between the concentr ation of the analyte of interest and the generated electric signal. He re we discuss a very easy correction method which takes into account a ll the instrumental factors and transforms the observed intensity valu e in a quantity, the corrected luminescence intensity, that is directl y proportional to the concentration of the observed luminophore. At th e end of the discussion, a general formula is presented together with two examples illustrating the method and its application. (C) 1998 Els evier Science B.V.
