Abstract
Applications of the high-pressure water jet technique for pipeline reh abilitation is described. A brief review is given about the general pr inciples of jet-cutting technology, including newly developed tools fo r on-site surface preparation of pipelines and on-site wall cutting. R esults of decoating and demolition of pipeline elements by plain and a brasive water jets are reported. High-pressure water jets are versatil e tools for the complete and partial decoating of steel pipes. Abrasiv e water jets cart be used successfully to cut steel pipes, including f iber-reinforced coating systems.
