Field experiments on growth of alfalfa on meliorated sulfidcontainig s
oils from brown coal mine area (Moscow region) were performed. It was
found that the treatment of alfalfa seeds by fusicoccin prior to plant
ing leads to the two times enhancement of the development of intra-roo
t structures (arbuscules) of endomycorrhizal fungi. Joint employment o
f fusicoccin and stress adapted fungus Glomus mosseae increases the al
falfa green biomass in 1.8 times comparing to control.
