Tv. Pavlova et La. Mikhailova, ROLE OF PUCCINIA-RECONDITA ROB. EX. DESM. F SP. TRITICI SPORES MIGRATION IN FUNGAL POPULATION DEVELOPMENT AND SPREAD OF EPIPHYTOTIES, Mikologia i fitopatologia, 31(5), 1997, pp. 60-66
In connection with determination of the role of Puccinia recondita Rob
. ex Desm. f. sp. tritici spore migration for the variability of patho
gen population and epiphytoty development analysis of synoptic weather
situation biological control of air masses, and comparison of phenoty
pe composition of population samples were performed. The possibility o
f spore transportation by cyclonic air masses from Turkey to South par
t of CIS (former U.S.S.R.) was estimated. Significant difference betwe
en European and Asiatic (Northern Kazachstan and Western Syberia) fung
us populations in terms of their phenotype composition was determined.
This difference was explained by low probability of spore transportat
ion from Europe to Asia by air masses.
