Abstract
The effective dopants of (Bi,Pb)(2)Sr2Ca2Cu3Oz, which formed phases co mpatible with the basic superconductor and did not cause the supercond ucting properties of Bi-2223 to deteriorate, was studied. It was found that the addition of 10 mol% of Ca2B2O5 led to a reduction of the ind uction period and to an increase of the Bi-2223 phase content. It was shown that the Ca2B2O5 surplus increased the amount of liquid in the s ystem and thus accelerated the formation of Bi-2223 phase.
