Abstract
The gas phase pyrolysis of involatile species has been studied by inje ction of solutions in inert solvents into SF6 gas heated by CO2 laser radiation; the gas phase chemistry reflects the distribution of specie s present in solution, and may potentially be controlled through param eters such as solution pH.
