Abstract
The title molecule, which is obtained as the tetraphenylphosphonium sa lt following the reaction of InBr and HCBr3, is shown to involve pseud o-tetrahedral carbon and indium(III) sites; it is a member of a series of related [H4-nC(InBr3)(n)](n-) anions.
