Abstract
A tetraphenylporphyrin bearing four peptide chains, synthesized in two steps from meso-tetrakis(p-aminophenyl)porphyrin and the peptide CGKW K, binds single-stranded DNA oligomers with high affinity and inhibits degradation by nuclease S1.
