Abstract
The title compound, 8,8'-bis(dimethyl mo-bis[3,1,2-ferradicarba-closo- dodecaborane(11)], has the expected overall geometry in which two {FeC 2B9} icosahedra are linked via a common Fe atom; additionally, the who le cluster has crystallographically imposed C-2 symmetry. The structur e is compared with those of its geometric isomers and of some related compounds.
