Interference in the electrocardiogram (EGG) signal in an operating roo
m environment is common. Interference from a variety of sources, inclu
ding electrosurgical units and blood warmers, have been reported. We r
eport the occurrence of an ECG signal that was cleared of interference
whenever the electrosurgical unit (ESU) was activated.
