We present a new in vitro model for the training of endovascular embol
izations of cerebral aneurysms. The technique and laboratory set-up de
scribed allow the embolization of thin-walled, transparent silicone an
eurysm models under ''semi-physiologic'' conditions, i.e., in a closed
circulation with pulsatile flow and pressure, simulating the hemodyna
mic conditions encountered in biologic systems.
