Abstract
The effect of the purification of sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) has bee n studied in aqueous solutions and in o/w emulsions. The physical prop erties (surface tension, conductivity, light dispersion, viscosity, an d granulometry) depend on the degree of purity of surfactant. This eff ect is less important within the emulsion technology when thickener or cosurfactant agents are added to the emulsion.
