Abstract
A mathematical model and a method to study the sedimentation of a solu ble impurity in the evaporative cooling of a cryogenic liquid are prop osed. The combined process of crystallization and sedimentation of a n itrogen impurity in liquid hydrogen in a commercial cryogenic plant is considered as an example.
