Abstract
A new time-dependent feedback method is proposed to control the spatio -temporal patterns of a globally coupled chaotic map with a strong non linear parameter and relatively weak coupling strength. A small time-d ependent feedback is used on the system variable to synchronize comple tely the globally coupled map, control the system to any desired clust ering state from a turbulent state, and synchronize two such systems w ith originally different spatio-temporal patterns as well.
