Abstract
The radiation characteristics of a cylindrical dielectric resonator an tenna on the top of a ground plane are investigated both theoretically and experimentally. A finite-element method with absorbing boundary c onditions is used to describe the system. A material characterization method is described using these radiation characteristics.
