Electrocatalytic properties of a composite system comprising an N-meth
ylpyrrole polymer film and peroxidase are studied by the rotating disk
electrode technique. The immobilized enzyme activity is shown to depe
nd on the composite-system preparation conditions, such as the deposit
ion potential, the enzyme concentration in the solution from which it
was deposited, and tile composite film thickness. A direct electron ex
change between the peroxidase active center and polymer matrix is hypo
thesized on the basis of the data obtained.
