Abstract
Low-penalty WDM transmission of three densely-spaced (0.12-0.6 nm) dir ectly-modulated fibre grating lasers at 2.6Gbit/s over 117km of standa rd singlemode fibre is reported. for the first rime. WDM transmission experiments show that fibre grating lasers operate error-free over a w ider temperature range than externally modulated DFB lasers.
