Abstract
The authors demonstrate experimentally the possibility of cascading fi ve optical cross-connects based on all-optical wavelength converters u sed for routing and wavelength slot interchanging at a channel rate of 10Gbit/s. Furthermore, the possibility of both up-and down-conversion from external to internal wavelengths is demonstrated, as well as an input power dynamic range of 12dB.
