Abstract
Two low phase noise microwave signals in the 18-20GHz band have been r emotely generated for bidirectional 140Mbit/s OQPSK-transmissions by a pplying a simple optical harmonic upconversion technique, One carrier is modulated by the downlink data and the other one serves as local os cillator signal for the uplink mixer in the base station.
