Abstract
The authors demonstrate the first micromechanical tunable top-emitting laser with a continuous wavelength tuning range of 20nm centred al 92 6nm. For 11nm of the tuning range, its threshold current and peak outp ut power are <similar to 1mA and similar to 1mW, respectively. Over th e entire tuning range, the threshold current remains <1.9mA and the pe ak output power >0.92mW.
