Abstract
A multichannel photon counter based on an ADSP2111 signal processor is described. This counter is designed for systems of laser atmospheric sounding. The number of time channels is 16 k, the minimum channel wid th is 15 ns, the minimum number of pulses recorded in a single cycle i s 2 k, and the storage capacity of a channel is 64 k. Four such counte rs can be accommodated on a single standard IBM PC board.
