Abstract
The microstructure, crystallographic texture and magnetic properties o f microcrystalline Fe-6.5wt.%Si and Fe-6.5wt.%Si-3.0wt.%Co alloys prep ared by rapid quenching of melt on a steel wheel are studied in the pa per. We attained a favourable crystallographic texture from the standp oint of magnetic properties and a homogeneous microstructure by heat t reatment of samples at 1100 degrees C for 1 hour in hydrogen atmospher e. Magnetometric measurements demonstrate increase of the saturation m agnetic polarisation in modified alloys by cobalt.
