Abstract
A new, very simple curve-fitting expression for the effective side len gth is presented for the resonant frequency of triangular microstrip a ntennas. Ht is obtained using a modified tabu sc arch algorithm, and i s useful for the Computer-aided design (CPD) Of microstrip antennas. T he theoretical resonant frequency results obtained using this new effe ctive side length expression are in very good agreement with the exper imental results available in the literature.
