Abstract
A method is presented for calculating the capacitances and inductances per unit angle of circularly curved multiconductor transmission lines in multilayer printed boards. The capacitances and inductances of the 90 degrees sector of the axially symmetrical structure are used for m odeling a multipin connector analyzed with SPICE. By introducing the K ronecker product, the method becomes simple in programming, even for a great number of layers. The present paper is a first step to combinin g the 2D-FD (finite-difference) method and the MOL (method of lines). (C) 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
