Abstract
A resonator technique is used fa, investigated the validity of microst rip t-junction and 45 degrees,end discontinuity models over the freque ncy range 18-60 GHz. Models are checked against both experimental resu lts and electromagnetic simulations using a previously described dual- resonator method to eliminate confounding variables, The method has bt en improved to provide results in terms of model phase error rather t han a dimensionless validation parameter. Model phase errors in excess of 15 degrees have been found, (C) 1998 John Wiley & Sons.
