Abstract
The authors show that merged current switch logic is an excellent cand idate for enabling low supply voltages and maintaining an operating sp eed in the GHz range. The demonstration circuit fabricated in a 0.8 mu M BiCMOS process operates at supply voltages as low as 1.2V with a bi t rate of 1 Gbit/s. The dynamic power consumption is 461 mu W/gate.
