Abstract
A fast tunable optical filter based on Bragg grating compression is re alised using a piezoelectric stack actuator. A setting time of <2ms ov er a 15nm tuning range has been achieved. Tuning does not affect the r eflectivity, shape or bandwidth of the central Bragg wavelength peak.
