Abstract
This paper presents conformational studies for some liquid crystalline polyethers and copolyethers based on 3,3-bis(chloromethyl)oxetane, 4, 4'-dihydroxy-azobenzene, 4,4'-dihydroxy-diphenyl and bisphenol-A. Thes e studies try to explain the disappearance of liquid crystalline mesop hase of some copolymers when two different bisphenols are used in the reaction.
