G. Ionescu et al., OPTIMUM KINETIC CONDITIONS FOR THE INDICATOR REACTIONS AG O-2/CO2+ AND AG/O-2/CO2+/CN- - THEORETICAL AND EXPERIMENTAL ASPECTS/, Revue Roumaine de Chimie, 42(9), 1997, pp. 885-890
By means of a LCCA-type amperometric sensor for oxygen, the studies de
aling with the gallic-acid (AG)/Oxygen indicator reaction have been ex
tended, aiming at the establishment of a set of optimum conditions on:
the sensor response time, pH, AG concentration, catalytic action of t
he Co ions and inhibitory influence of the CN ions. All these data hav
e been determined in two different pH media, namely: sodium berate buf
fer and ammoniacal 'buffer solutions. The importance of the study is b
oth theoretical and practical - if considering the chemical analysis o
f Co and CN ions, at the level of traces.
