Abstract
Vinyl-terminated polydimethylsiloxanes of different molecular weights were prepared by cationic polymerization of octamethylcyclotetrasiloxa ne in the presence of 1,3-divinyl-1,1,3,3-tetramethyldisiloxan (end bl ocker). The photoactive behaviour in both inert (N-2) and oxygen conta ining atmosphere (air) was investigated by differential scanning photo calorimetry (DSPC). Two photoinitiators (Darocur(R) 1173 and TEPO) wer e used to promote the radical polymerization of vinyl groups.
