Abstract
A disk technique for speaker recognition is proposed. The proposed dis tance measure differs from existing distance measures by a statistical model. The disk distance measure is based on the Gerschgorim circle t heorem. A set of experiments have been conducted, which give a 94% rec ognition rate for 100 Mandarin speakers.
