Abstract
A compact multichip module (20.4 x 20.4 mm(2)) providing two major rec eiver functions (reshaping and retiming) has been developed for 10 Gbi t/s lightwave receivers. The variable gain from +11 to +31 dB, the ban dwidth of 7.3 GHz, and the sensitivity of -14.5 dBm have all confirmed the applicability of the MCM to 10 Gbit/s lightwave receivers.
