Ekw. Lai et al., ELECTROCATALYTIC REDUCTION OF OXYGEN BY PLATINUM MICROPARTICLES DEPOSITED ON POLYANILINE FILMS, Synthetic metals, 84(1-3), 1997, pp. 87-88
Polyaniline was used as a conductive matrix for depositing electrocata
lyst (platinum) for the reduction of oxygen. Polyaniline was found to
be a good conducting support for the platinum microparticles and by de
positing platinum on the polymer, the active surface area of the elect
rocatalyst was increased. However the rotating disk experiment also sh
owed that there might be some limitation on the diffusion of oxygen th
rough the polyaniline film.
