Abstract
The allele polymorphism of the SE33 tetranucleotide microsatellite rep eat (locus ACTBP2) was analyzed in the Udege, Moscow, and Tomsk popula tions. PCR revealed 21 alleles of 246-326 nt. No significant differenc es in allele frequency distribution were found in the three population s. Genotype frequencies were shown to obey the Hardy-Weinberg equilibr ium. Family analysis (two cases) demonstrated Mendelian inheritance of the alleles. The heterozygosity (0.830-0.875), the polymorphism infor mation content (0.874-0.887), and the power of discrimination (0.991-0 .992) showed that this locus can be used for personal identification a nd paternity tests.
