Abstract
Polymorphism of the GATG microsatellite marker at locus D13S699 from t he longer arm of chromosome 13 was studied in 142 healthy individuals, 38 schizophrenic, and 19 schizoaffective patients (diagnosis based on the DSM-IV and ICD-10 criteria). Frequencies of allele 3 (216 bp) and of the 3/3 homozygotes were significantly different for the group of schizoaffective patients and two other groups.
