Conducting polymer colloids have been produced using electrochemical m
ethods under hydrodynamic conditions. The amount of colloid produced i
ncreases with increasing current density and increasing flow rate. Cel
l design parameters such as electrode size and cell volume can affect
the production efficiency and yield. The colloids are electrically con
ducting and electroactive. The colloid particles are in general spheri
cal with sizes ranging between 100 and 200 nm.
