Abstract
Monolayer films of an amphiphilic one-electron bis-pyrrolotetrathiaful valene (BP) donor do not complex with organic accepters; a hydrophobic BP donor forms no monolayer films by itself, but forms Langmuir-Blodg ett films when complexed with TCNQ, TCNQF(4), and DDQ; one of them is an anisotropic semiconductor (conductivity about 10(-4) S/cm in the fi lm plane).
