The results of the neutron diffraction and magnetic measurements of th
e DyCoSn compound are reported. Neutron diffraction data indicate a si
ne modulated noncolinear magnetic structure at T=1.45 K with mu(Dy)=9.
9(1) mu(B) while the magnetic measurement reveal a saturation moment a
t T=4.2 K and H=140 kOe of 4.35 mu(B) From the temperature dependence
of the magnetic peak intensities we derive the Neel temperature to be
at T-N=11 K, while the temperature dependence of the a.c. magnetic sus
ceptibility shows an anomaly at 12 K. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science S.A.
