Abstract
Using in situ FTIR-ATR spectroscopy, the electrochemical polymerizatio n process of 2,2'-thienylpvrrole monomer in 0.5 mol cm(-3) LiClO4/acet onitrile (AN) is investigated. According to the structure changes of t he polymerization process recorded by infrared spectra, the polymeriza tion mechanisms of the polymer are discussed in this paper. The monome r and electrolyte absorption on the electrode/electrolyte interface, c hemical and electrochemical polymerization of the monomer are clearly divided at definite potential.
