One-dimensional models of wave photochemical reactions proceeding in n
ontransparent (absorbing) media were studied by methods of theoretical
analysis and computer simulation. The laws of propagation of the conv
ersion profile (reaction front) were established for various values of
the kinetic and optical parameters of a system, A nonideal propagatio
n of light was taken into account by introducing an appropriate instru
mental transmission function, The proposed method of experimental data
processing was used for a quantitative description of the photooxidat
ion of 9,10-diphenylanthracene in a polymeric matrix. This approach ca
n be used for analysis of the laws of a wave radical photopolymerizati
on, in which the monomer conversion profile coincides with that of the
photoinitiator conversion.
