Formulas describing a correlation between the coefficients of the Stoc
kmayer-Fixman equation and the parameters of the Mark-Kuhn-Houwink equ
ation are obtained by the least-squares procedure. These relations are
analyzed assuming a the nonlinear-logarithmic dependence of the intri
nsic viscosity of flexible polymers in good solvents on their molecula
r mass. The character of dependence of the coefficients in the Stockma
yer-Fixman equation on the molecular mass of polymer and the thermodyn
amic quality of solvent is established. The effect of the conditions o
f viscometric measurements on the reliability of evaluation of the unp
erturbed dimensions of a macromolecule is studied. An expression for c
alculation of the parameter K-theta from the viscometric data for a go
od solvent is derived.
