Nw. Park, ELECTROMAGNETIC PROPERTIES OF THE NUCLEON IN THE NJL MODEL WITH VECTOR AND AXIAL-VECTOR MESONS, Journal of the Korean Physical Society, 32(2), 1998, pp. 176-181
The soliton solution and its quantization are investigated in the NJL
model with rho and A(1) mesons. Excitation spectra of the time compone
nts of the vector mesons exist during the collective quantization. The
resulting equations of motion, which are integral equations, are solv
ed by making the radial coordinates discrete. The major effect of the
these spectra is to reduce the moment of the inertia, which becomes qu
ite small compared to the case without axial vectors. The electromagne
tic properties of the nucleon ale studied for various constituent quar
k masses which include the regions of both the valence picture and the
purely sea quark picture of the soliton in this model. The magnetic m
oments turn out to be too small generally. Several problems related to
the vector mesons are discussed.
