Abstract
Treatment of nickel (II) complexes of beta-diazonium-meso-tetraphenylp orphyrin salts with alpha,beta-unsaturated carbonyl compounds, in the presence of palladium acetate, affords the corresponding unsaturated b eta-substituted porphyrin.
