K. Mizoguchi et al., NEUTRAL SOLITON DYNAMICS IN T-POLYACETYLENE - CONSISTENT PICTURE FOR MAGNETIC RESONANCES, Synthetic metals, 84(1-3), 1997, pp. 865-866
Neutral soliton dynamics in trans-polyacetylene has been a controversi
al topic for the decade. Rapid diffusion up to D(//)approximate to 10(
13) (rad/sec) resulting from spin dynamics study with T-1(-1) of NMR h
as been contradicted by several ESR studies with pulse techniques. On
the other hand: basic feature of the neutral soliton dynamics was conf
irmed by DNP, but an analysis of such data yielded further discrepancy
in temperature dependence of the diffusion rate. Experimental work su
pporting the NMR result was reported using ESR relaxation and linewidt
h as a function of frequency. In this report, it is proposed that the
diffuse/trap model could give a consistent interpretation for them.
