K. Mizoguchi et al., DISTRIBUTION OF NEUTRAL SOLITONS IN T-POLYACETYLENE - CRYSTALLINE ANDAMORPHOUS REGIONS, Synthetic metals, 84(1-3), 1997, pp. 913-914
Several parameters of magnetic resonances are studied to obtain the di
stribution of the neutral solitons on mechanically stretch-oriented t-
polyacetylene prepared by Narrmann-Theophilou type technique. Degree o
f orientation characterized by the second moment of proton NMR is comp
ared with the ESR linewidth, spin-lattice relaxation rate and NMR spin
-lattice relaxation rate. The result suggests several times higher con
centration of the neutral solitons in the amorphous region. T-1H(-1) o
f proton NMR suggests a small but finite existence of relaxation path
to fixed paramagnetic spins through spectral diffusion.
