We present studies on the DC-conductivity of a new, fully unsaturated
carbon ladder-polymer, which we doped with AsF5, K and Rb. The structu
re of the new polymer is based upon a collapsed fullerene, where every
five-membered ring is bonded to three six-membered rings. This leads
to a planarized, board-like structure for which we expect good transpo
rt properties. We found a conductivity change over several orders of m
agnitude after doping. Investigations of the temperature behavior of t
he conductivity revealed, that currently used models insufficiently de
scribe the transport properties. We applied more complex, heterogeneou
s models, to describe the conductivity in the measured temperature ran
ge.
