Abstract
A low bandgap polymer (E-g similar to 1 eV) based on a bridged dithien yl monomer has been prepared by electropolymerisation. SEM studies con firm the formation of relatively smooth, uniform films. DC and AC elec trical characterisation of Schottky diodes formed from the polymer sug gest that the lack of significant rectification probably arises from a high bulk polymer resistivity owing to excessive undoping.
