Abstract
The stereochemistry of some acetals of o-phthaldialdehyde with 2-subst ituted-1,3-propanediols have been investigated by NMR methods. The tra ns, trans, cis, cis and cis, trans diastereoisomers of some of these c ompounds have been observed by the NMR spectra using the specific, val ues of the coupling constants and NOE experiments.
