Short syntheses of seven C-ring nitrogen heterocycle analogues of Tamo xifen are presented. The key reactions involve condensation of a metal lated propylazine with a functionalized benzophenone, followed by dehy dration of the resulting carbinol, avoiding a retrocondensation proces s.
