C1 inhibitor (C1-INH) regulates, complement, contact system, coagulati
on and fibrinolysis. Bleeding complications during cardiopulmonary byp
ass (CPB) have been described in a deficient patient. We report a 72 y
ear old man affected with acquired C1-INH deficiency who successfully
underwent CPB.
